Nutshell Version of my relatable life
My life in nutshell
Life, for me, has been a series of unexpected twists, some filled with joy and others with heartache. My journey has seen both exhilarating successes and deeply personal losses. I’ve built a career I’m proud of, but it hasn’t been without its challenges. Early on, I struggled to find my footing, faced setbacks, and even moments of self-doubt where I wasn’t sure if I was on the right path. But through grit and determination, I hit significant milestones, such as opening JensJams Fashion Studio Boutique, which made all the challenges worthwhile.
Yet, despite these accomplishments, nothing could have prepared me for the emotional blow of my husband passing away unexpectedly. It felt like my entire world crumbled in an instant. The person I had built my life with, shared dreams with, and thought would be there for the long haul was suddenly gone.
That kind of pain shakes you to your core. There were days I didn’t know how to move forward, how to pick up the pieces of a life that no longer felt familiar.
But as I slowly worked through the pain, I realized that this was a pivotal moment in my life. It forced me to face the uncomfortable truth that life doesn’t always follow the plans we set. I had to rebuild—not just in terms of relationships, but within me. I started to focus more on my own growth, reflect on rediscovering who I was outside of that marriage as much as I didn't want to, and what I truly wanted for my future.
It's been 6 years since he passed away and I still cry. I don't cry all day everyday like I did for so long, but I'd say atleast once or twice a week. You will never truly know the feeling burying your husband or wife unless it happens to you. It's different. Your life completely changes in every area instantly, yet you still have to get up everyday and face the world like super woman. Do you know how hard that is?
I still picture his face in my mind every single day. I will never go a day without replaying some sweet or funny memories through my head. I miss my husband.
Through it all though, I’ve learned that failure isn’t the end; it’s often just the beginning of a new chapter. I’ve failed in business ventures, personal goals, and, of course, relationships, but those failures have shaped me in ways that success never could. They’ve taught me resilience, patience, and most of all, self-compassion.
I know firsthand how tough life’s challenges can be—whether it's a relationship falling apart, a career shift, or personal battles that feel overwhelming. I’ve been there, and I understand how hard it can be to find your way forward when everything seems uncertain. That’s why I’m now offering personalized guidance sessions to help others navigate their own ups and downs. If you're going through a difficult time or need a fresh perspective on your journey, I’m here to listen, offer support, and help you chart a new course.
