Networking Tips for beginners:

Networking can feel intimidating at first, but it’s an essential skill for personal and professional growth. It is ESSENTIAL for your business to expand and be successful.

Start by being genuine and approachable. Attend events, join online communities, or participate in social groups that align with your goals or interests.

Prepare a concise introduction about yourself, including what you do and what you're looking to achieve. Don't hesitate to ask thoughtful questions to show interest in others’ work or experiences. Follow up after meeting someone with an email or even a phone call. Maybe thank them for their time, anything along those lines.

You have to understand the importance of Networking. That and marketing are the two most essential and important aspects of getting your business seen, visited, respected and able to succeed.

Even if you aren't a people person, or just not into group gatherings, you will need to hire an employee to care of that part of your business. Your customers are your key to success, but how are your customers going to be knowledgeable of your business without exposure?

There are so many different ways to network, you'll never be stuck on what to do, or where to turn. Think of it this way: Networking is like Marketing, but just on a personal level.

Start building a foundation of friendship with these organizations. Libraries, girl scouts, local youth sports groups, point of contact over festivals or parades in your area. Any new businesses that have just opened, send a message via email congratulating them with a discount.
